Willowbank Descriptive Writing - Animals we saw

Eel’s
I liked feeding the eels. Some are little and some are big. Some are really small. I like feeding eels. It was very fun and we had a great day. I was feeding the eels with the meat. The duck came and ate the meat. It was fun.
Pero

I can look at the eels and I fed them.
Ra Kahu

Eels are cute and we go to feed the eels meat with my friends. Pero got to feed them too and the duck took the food that we were going to feed the eels.
Mareyka

The eels eat meat. The eels bite. It came up on the step.
Alex

Otter’s

The colour is brown, a little bit of black. There were lots of rocks behind them and there was grass on the rocks. The colour of the grass is green. They are cute. They were hungry. They ate grass.
Matalasi

Duck’s

I like ducks because they are cool. They quack really loud and they fly really high. They like bread and they swim with their legs. Their wings help them to fly really high in the sky. They eat bread.
Luse

The ducks smell nice. The ducks swim away.
Krystina

Ducks can swim in the water. They are brown and a duck had a green neck and some are small and some big. They eat duck food. Quack quack and ducks sound like that. Ducks live in Willowbank and they feed thereselves. I like ducks there. We like ducks and they run away from people and some are sad. They swim in cold water. I like ducks because they are cute and they are cool too.

Monkey’s and Gibbon’s

The monkey is big. I am big too.
Dylan

The monkey was black. It was nice and it does eat food like grass and leaves. It makes a sound like a monkey and it makes a soundso it sounds nice. It is nearly as big as me! I like it. It is friendly, yes it was friendly.
Tylah

At Willowbank I saw a Gibbon. It was black. We saw three Gibbon’s and it said no feeding so we just looked at it then we saw them fighting and they are sleeping. Then we saw one was climbing on the cage and then we saw it eating fruit because they like fruit. Then they were awake and the I gave it some food. Gibbon’s are dangerous because there was a sign that said ‘Danger, keep out’ then we saw it eating food and it looked like a monkey but it is a Gibbon and I like Gibbon’s. They are my favourite. Then we saw one Gibbon was asleep so we had to be very quiet and there were only two Gibbon’s that were awake. Then we saw it sitting down on a piece of wood looking at us then I smiled at the Gibbon and we saw it was very hungry so I carefully feed it and I wasn’t scared so we had a break then we saw a Gibbon hanging on the rope and it was cool. We fed it all the time and we stayed there only a little bit and we fed it one more time then we had to go to the next one.
